«Engineer» demand response project «Social Security»

The Engineers Association has renewed its call the government and the nation’s response to the draft law on social security “for the contents of materials adversely affect the acquired rights to employees of the Social Security” during the memorandum submitted by the Syndicate of Engineers Abdullah Obeidat to the Prime Minister and key members of the House and Senate and the House of Representatives.
Obeidat and enclose note in the study prepared by the Engineers Association on the amendments introduced by the management of social security on the project, which was sent by the Government to the House of Representatives in the current special session for adoption.
He said the notes made by the union part of the move aimed to clarify the seriousness of the amendments to the acquired rights of associate members of the social security organization, which began earlier this month, sit in front of a professional trade unions.
He noted that the trade union movement will continue to protest against the amendments made to the Social Security Act, which the union believes it is “negative, will contribute to the protection of social security and the rights associated to it.”
He added that the Director of Social Security Razaz Omar met with trade unions more than once to explain the importance of the amendments to the Insurance Law, which called for captains not to have any amendment to the law and the search for other ways to protect the institution of security to meet its obligations to the associate.
Obeidat said that the bill exempted trade unions from participating in the membership of the Governing Council and the Council of Insurance and the investment of social security funds, and it houses the expertise and proven competence and the proportion (21%) of the total insured.
He added that the draft law according to the study prepared by the union “did not adopt the concept of equality (gender) through the involvement of women in the membership of the Board of Directors of the Social Security Institute as a percentage (26% - 29%) of the total participants.
